Tumbling Classes Stretch and Flexibility Class Flight School Strength and Conditioning Class
If you are interested in joining our tumbling program, you will be joining the BEST cheer/tumbling program in the state of Iowa.
Our coaches know how to teach tumbling! We know that you want to learn how to do back handsprings all the way up to double fulls. We will not waste any time teaching you skills that you will not need.
Our coaches know how to spot all tumblers and all skills, no matter the age, height, size or skill level.
Most gymnastic clubs and coaches work at a slow perfection before progression rate. That means a student has to perfect a forward roll before they move on to a back roll, and so on and so on until they get to standing back handsprings. Our coaches have a total of 40 years of coaching between them and we know how to teach back handsprings, and how to teach them fast.

2. How do I sign up for tumbling classes?
Please click the register online link. This will take you to the iClass Pro portal. Once you create your account you can choose from the list of classes offered at IAS that best suits your schedule.
3. What class should I sign up for?
Within each of our classes, we break down into groups based on ability and experience (Regular and Advanced). Therefore, your child will be working with other kids at their ability no matter what class they are in. We offer Tiny Tumbling classes that are age restricted for 3-8 year olds of any ability. Please refer to our class schedule for days and times.

If you do not un-enroll in the class you want to get out of, the system will charge you for two classes.
6. If my child misses their tumbling class, can we make it up?
YES. If you have missed your regularly scheduled tumbling class, please notify us prior to missing by emailing mark@iowaallstars.com. You can make up your class by coming to our Saturday tumbling class from 10-11am.
Stretch and Flexibility Class: Stretch class meets once every week for 30 minutes, and is a great addition to any cheerleaders weekly regimen (Base or Flyer). The main goal of stretch class is to increase flexibility which will, in turn, improve tumbling and jumps, prevent injury, and help any aspiring flyers have the body positions they need for stunt class or for their school/all star team.
Flight School (Stunt Class): Stunt class meets once every week for 60 minutes and is a must for any flyer, whether it’s your first day going up or you have been flying for years our instructors can help take you to the next level. This class will focus on pulling perfect body positions, level appropriate stunt transitions and dismounts.
Prerequisites: To be in this class athletes MUST be able to pull and hold a heel stretch, bow and arrow, scorpion, and scale, on the floor for at least 5 seconds. Stretch class is available for anyone who is not able to pull of their body positions just yet.
Much like our tumbling classes, stunt class will follow a level progression beginning with pulling body positions on the floor and continuing all the way up to the most advanced level 6 stunting skills. In the interest of safety athletes will NOT be permitted to move on to higher level skills before they have shown mastery of the prior level skills.
In a typical stunt class you should expect the following:
Organized stretching- including splits and wall climbs at the beginning of class
Beam Stunting- athletes must show ability to pull and hold body positions on a balance beam to move on
Ground Stunting- athletes must show ability to pull and hold body positions on an instructor to move on
Group Stunting- athletes will progress through the levels on a multi-base group
Strength and Conditioning Class: This Class meets once a week for 30 minutes. This class will focus on anaerobic conditioning exercises to improve the overall performance of your athlete. This class will increase your athletes ability to “make it through” a routine. We will focus on “fast muscle twitch fiber” exercises that will increase the explosive movements involved in cheerleading. This class will help make lean muscles for a more “toned” physique.
